Jordan’s Blog: March 14th, 2013

As told by Jordan’s mom, Darla:

“We were driving to a horse show for Jordan.  We saw two dogs on the side of the road.  They were alongside I35 and eating a dead raccoon.  We saw them as we flew past, and knowing Jordan would freak, (even though we were late for her horse show) I pulled over.   She jumped out of the car, got a hold of two of the most beautiful, but stinky labs.  One black and one chocolate.  She held on to them like her life was depending on it even though those big boys had to outweigh her by at least 50 pounds.  She just stood there patiently and held them until a man stopped and tried to call Animal Services in the random town we were in.  It was somewhere south of Burleson…

Animal Services was closed and we were on our way to Waco so we waited patiently and finally a big truck stopped with two guys in it.  First, he wanted to take them to his shop, then he was going to put them in his own backyard.  We made him promise he would call animal services in the morning as it was 6pm.   After we chatted them up some more, we got him to put them in the back of his truck and go to the closest neighborhood and he found their owners!  He called to let us know.

Happy ending, yay!”
