Jordan’s Blog: Jordan Goes to Australia
You’ll never guess where I was over the summer! Okay, I’ll just tell you. I was “in the land down under!” That’s a goofy way to say Australia. I went with my mom and dad for two weeks, because it was summer and there was no school! The plane ride was really long but worth it to get to Australia.
The beach was fun because I got to read books and get a suntan. We all snorkeled near the Great Barrier Reef and saw lots of fish. One looked like a parrot! The other best fish was a pufferfish. It was cool because I’m a good swimmer, and I love all kinds of animals.
My most favorite place was the Australian Zoo. That’s the one owned by Steve Irwin’s family. In Australia, the zoo was different from American zoos because they let you touch the animals! I liked holding and feeding them. My favorite animals at the zoo were the koalas, echidnas, and the dingos because they’re like the dogs that we help at TAHP.
